one month is over and i am yet to see the connection
I had applied for hathway and got it in a jiffy - airtel was also excellent

I am a VSNL broadband customer

Hello Abhishek,
This is Mahesh More, from Pune. I am a VSNL (Tata indicum) broadband customer. On March 29, 2006, I had problem with my connection so I called their call center. They told me that the server was down and it will be okay within 3 hours, which as usual didn’t. Then the next day, I again had problem and they told me that server is working fine but my link is down. So they gave me complaint number and told that within 24 hours the engineer will visit your place and correct the problem, but till April 3rd their engineer didn’t visit and I was having same problem daily of “no link or frequent disconnection.” My link goes down after every 10 minutes, which interrupts my work. So on April 3rd, I went to their head office with a written complaint with all the problems mentioned in that and the loss I have to face and the consequence that I will have to face if the problem persists. After lot of effort and hell lot of time I was able to catch hold of their Customer Care Head, Meenakshi, who I doubt cares about the customers. I gave the written complaint to her and after going through that she told me that she will need some time to rectify the problem. I told that I have launched complaint on March 30 and I have given you lot of time to take care of the problem. I cannot give more time for the same problem again as I am facing loss because of this problem and my job is in danger. I asked her to give me in writing that I have given you a written complaint and that will be looked upon ASAP on which she started shouting and telling me, “Do whatever you want to do. We have not got your complaint.” I told her that I have launched the complaint and call center executive told me that they have forwarded the complaint on same day but no body has looked upon that complaint. On that she told me that if you don’t want to wait you do what you want to do, go to the ‘consumer court’ or anywhere you want and she refused to accept my written complaint. I had no answer to their approach and I had to walk empty handed. I thought at least now they will handle the problem more seriously but nothing happened. These TATA INDICOM broadband people are very fast to collect their bills. They will call 3 days before the due date and remind us to pay the bill but same is not happening when the customer is facing the problem. I will definitely have to go to the ‘consumer court’ for the compensation of my loss, which I think TATA’s will never give because they have power and money and they can dissolve the case.

very difficult for tata vsnl to survive

hi,
This is to bring to your kind notice that i have applied for broad band connection on 25th Feburary 2006 bearing application no. 1551981, i.e today it is 3/4/2006. As on to this date i have not yet got the connection. And when ever i call up the sales excutive or the authroised dealer, they dont pick up the phone. If the service is going to be like, I will be very difficult for tata vsnl to survive, as there are some many service providers in the race, what it really counts is the service & commitment. If these 2 things are not there, i dont think they are going to last long.
