Tata Indicom, what are you guys doing?

Can you believe this:
A process for complaint registration (about dns entry) requires that I give my password to customer care executive. When I say that passwords are supposed to be secret and not to be shared customer care person says that he can not register the complaint without I revealing the password. And he did not…
Can it get more stupid than this?
Tata Indicom, what are you guys doing? How can you ask password to your users over phone…

Hi,

I am an unfortunate customer of the Tata indicom Postpaid account. I took the connection in the mid of May and in less than one month I lost connection several times. I took the connection for my official purpose and needs to be online for 24 * 7 once in a month. Since the internet was not available in some of the weeks ends and week days, I need to spend those hours in my office itself unnecessarily. Whenever I called up the customer care, it says that the wait time is less than 15 mins and I need to hold the line for at least 15 to 20 mins to get my technical query addressed.

After raising the complaint, the response time was very bad which might exceed unto 2 days. If it is Sunday, it will extend unto 3 days. I already talk to the following persons in the Chennai VSNL office (Ranganathan and Karl Marx) and they assured me that my problem be resolved permanently. Even after giving the assurance, I lost connection almost 3 times.

I took a post paid connection worth Rs 3000 which is valid for 4 months. When I requested regarding the reimbursement, they said only Rs 500 will be returned and the rest will be considered as the Installation charge.

Also when I checked the reason for the down time, they are giving me simple reasons like "Server at Mumbai is down", "Link between chennai server and Mumbai server Failed" etc.

I am not sure whether this will get addressed, Even if it is addressed or not, I will go ahead and disconnect my connection after 4 months.

PS: This is not only situation, four of my colleagues are facing the same problem and we have no other option other than taking a parallel Airtel connection in order to be in the network.

Is this the reputation of TATA ?

Quick Summary of my experience with TATA Indicom broadband @ Chennai.

TATA Indicom broadband (VSNL) guys lost track of money they took from me.
Kept blaming about non-payment and started to de-activate my connection without prior notice.
Remember I am a customer who had been using TATA Indicom broadband for a year now.
Activated the connection Feb 15th 2007

If this is how they treat their customer who had been using it for a year, forget those new comers. Will be treated next to piece of SHIT.

They have damn good technology in place and BUNCH of IDIOTS to maintain their backoffice operations.

Another way they cheat customers is by not giving the downtime credit for usage.
Its like sarkari office... Working or not you still need to pay the full rent.

PAST 45 DAYS I AM FACING LOT OF PROBLEM IN MY BROADBAND CONNECTION CONNECTION LOST FOR 2 TO 3 DAYS CONTINUESLY .EVEN I RECIEVED 26 DAYS OF DOWNTIME CREDIT FOR MY CONNECTION LOST FROM TATA BROADBAND CONNECTION.AND I PAID THE ADVANCE AMOUNT FOR 5 MONTH.STILL I AM FACING THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER MEETING TO THE HEAD Mr SARVANNA & AREA MANAGER Mr.SARAT IN CHETPET OFFICE.

PLEASE SUGGEST ME WHAT I HAVE TO DO FOR THIS PROBLEM TO BE RECTIFY EVEN BECAUSE OF THIS CONNECTION LOST I LOSS MY MANY BUSSINESS PROPOSALS INCOME.

1 HOUR OR 2 HOUR IS SENCE BUT 2 DAYS & 3 DAYS CONNECTION LOST IS TOTALLY NONSENSE.PLEASE HELP ME.

Please be carefull don't purchase tata product they are now cheater. Earlier they are very reliable company.
